Founded in 1977 Billy Murphy’s Irish Saloon quickly became the “go to” place for a good time in the local area. Since it’s start, this bar has aquired countless nickmames, including the “Saloonery”, “The Green Door Bar”, and “Murphy’s.” It is a home away from home where the walls and memrobelia tell a story just as well as the bartenders and other patrons do over a refreshing brew. Murphy’s has become a landmark in the East Falls area, and in recent years have made their mark all over Philadelphia with the awards they have won and contests they have been a part of.
