Since the 1920?s Eighty-five Washington Place has been home to a bar, sure there were a few prohibition years that have left signs of awkward rooms, low ceiling’d hallways and hidden nooks. But we prefer to think that even then it was a place where people could find comfort, healthy distractions, respite from the arduous news of the era all while catching up with old friends. Since the 20?s we’ve added a pool table, booth and table seating all with plenty room to drink a beer and watch a game. But we’re still a bar for everyone’s long journey through life, a place to relax as well as a place to play. We look forward to seeing you again.
