Profile
Part diner, serving French inspired comfort food whose taste and flavor infused the childhood home of owner and Marseille native Emilie Cellai, and part bar, serving a menu of signature international and sparkling wine cocktails mixed up by Julien Masson of Intercontinental, Hotel Dieu in Marseille, Le Town Talk is a first in the Twin Cities–a working class French bar and restaurant.
The menu is a wonderful mix of Franco-American dishes that are comfortingly familiar but decidedly different and was inspired by recipes from Emilie’s family kitchen. While the food is exceptional, Le Town Talk is more accurately a “buvette,” or drinking place as they say in France.
It’s the social hub where you gather after work and stay to mingle long into the night. With wine, craft beer, and an international cocktail menu, East Lake Street and Le Town Talk is the place to “buvez francais,” or drink French with friends, neighbors and other nightly ordained ex-patriots. Because deep down, secretly, don’t we all want to be a little French?
