Beuchert’s Saloon is a neighborhood restaurant and bar serving up a ‘farm American’ dining experience in the historically rich Eastern Market neighborhood of Washington, DC. With ingredients sourced from our family farm, Executive Chef Andrew Markert translates local, fresh produce into playful American fare with a creative twist.
A true rogue in the kitchen, Markert is known for cooking with an edge and attitude all his own, bringing a new energy to fine dining. He has gained national recognition for his talents, showcasing his skills on the Food Network’s hit TV show Chopped in 2011.

Chef Markert is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI. He has worked at critically acclaimed Washington, DC area restaurants Citronelle, Notti Bianche, Vermilion, Tallula, Hook, and most recently as the Chef de Cuisine at PS7s in Chinatown.
