Before the line of customers stretched out the door at Intelligentsia on Sunset Boulevard, the Coffee Table on Rowena Avenue dominated Silver Lake’s coffee house scene. After 14 years of business the store was shut down. Now in Eagle Rock, on any given Los Angeles weekday, The Coffee Table hosts a collection of hipster freelance artists banging out screenplays on their laptops, trading audition horror stories and/or making plans to rent a van for "The Tour." The Coffee Table offers a cozy, laid back refuge for LA's semi-employed entertainment industry hopefuls to be with their own kind. The Coffee Table serves breakfast ALL DAY and even has a 700sqf back patio. The Coffee Table also boasts mosaic tabletops, tons of natural light and a rotating collection of local art.
