Pacific Beach is a vibrant coastal community in Southern California that is home to a diverse population of students, entrepreneurs and outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world. The small neighborhood cafes, all independently owner-operated, are energy centers that play an important role in the unique lifestyle its residents cherish and its visitors quickly grow to love. Turquoise Coffee opened its doors in March of 2005 with the intention of creating a neighborhood gathering place, where locals, students and business people alike, could come together and have a sense of community. Founded by a Chicago native who migrated to San Diego in 2003, Turquoise Coffee was always more than a coffee shop and a business venture, but also an opportunity for a young man to recreate the tremendous sense of place and belonging that he was so fond of in the communities that raised him. Today, Turquoise Coffee is a popular neighborhood coffee house by day, which also transforms into an intimate wine bar by night. Inspired by extensive travel in the wine regions of California and a love for sharing good wine with family and friends, a concept unique to our community was born. In the evening you will experience service from a staff of certified beverage and culinary professionals, offering close to 100 different wine selections from regions around the world, a dozen rotating draft beers and a creative assortment of small plates.
