The Gorbals is very pleased to announce the latest arrivals to our downtown Los Angeles family, our new chef, Peter Haller, and Bar Mitzvah, our new sports bar located in the front of The Gorbals. The Gorbals is the proud home of DTLA’s newest sports bar, Bar Mitzvah, located in The Gorbals’ new entrance on 5th Street. Meeting the need for a neighborhood bar with great food and premium drinks for the discerning sports fan, Bar Mitzvah is equipped with beautifully designed custom woodwork and lighting fixtures, six huge HD TVs with premium sports channels, a state-of-the-art surround sound system, and a vintage sports décor blending perfectly with the classic charm of The Gorbals in the historic Alexandria Hotel. The bar menu of Bar Mitzvah is personally curated by Dean Pryor, celebrated head bartender of The Gorbals, and features a specialized array of solid standard spirits, rare spirits, and imported and local craft beers. Chef Peter Haller has designed a menu of his take on conventional sports bar fare, featuring finger foods, burgers, and a weekly hot dog selection. Bar Mitzvah is now open days and evenings for fans to watch the coverage of all FIFA World Cup, NBA Finals, Stanley Cup, and UFC events.
