The Boardwalk

Our goal is to offer high quality food in a relaxed environment.. we are at the beach, after all. No shirt? No shoes? No hay problema! Heck, bikinis are encouraged! The Boardwalk Mission Beach (formally The Boardwalk Bistro) was transformed to a full service restaurant in May of 2007, when ownership changed hands to Patrick Walsh of Kan-Cali Enterprises LLC.. and not a moment too soon. That season, the University of Kansas, his alma mater, would go on to win the 2008 NCAA Men's Basketball National Championship. Good thing he was committed to offering the best atmosphere west of the Fieldhouse for taking in a Jayhawks game! It was this enthusiasm, of owner and patrons alike, that has helped to solidify the Boardwalk as THE watch-site for all games KU. And it's a pretty darn good place to take in any sort of televised sport. We have numerous HDTVs and all of the sports packages. We're proud to present our new menu, consolidated from days of yore but without losing our roots. Yes, we kept the Short on Cash. But now we serve it all day. Breakfast and lunch, all day. We offer great deals on local and imported draught beers served in frozen pints, schooners, and goblets (check out our daily specials!). And when you're done surfing, cruise on down and join us on the patio for an ice cold beer and our high quality food, made to order. Oh, and we also have the Safari Buck Hunter arcade game which, as anyone will tell you, is SO much better than regular Buck Hunter.
