Barton Springs Saloon

Started on a wing and a prayer in May of 2006, Barton Springs Saloon has fast become one of the most popular local hangouts in what we affectionately call the “Oh-Four.” Whether our patrons come from down the street or from far-flung zip codes, we are a neighborhood bar for everyone. We're located on the corner of Lamar and Barton Springs Boulevards. Just down the street are several of Austin’s best restaurants, including The Green Mesquite, the original Chuy’s, and Shady Grove. The Long Center for the Performing Arts is just across Lamar Blvd., Zachary Scott Theater is within walking distance, and the playing fields of Zilker Park produce patrons weary (and thirsty) from softball and baseball games, soccer, etc. Special events such as Shady Grove’s “Unplugged” series, Blues on the Green, the annual Austin City Limits Festival and other concerts and local happenings now include Barton Springs Saloon as the before-, during-, and after-event party place of choice. Located as we are in the heart of booming South Lamar, we are proud to be a part of the old-style, friendly Austin atmosphere that has made our city one of the best places to live in the country.
